In MakeMdl export OPTIONS, have you turned on "HasReflectMap"?

And, do you have the Reflections turned on in the FSim?

it is possible that my name for the texture was the cose of the trouble its name was LevasseurPL8_t.bmp  ???

that sounds like a possibility. Try adding an extra charter or two after the _t. The system might think any file with that _t in it is to be treated as transparent file

First, please explain exactly what your export pipe is.

Gmax > middleman > mdlcommander > makemdl?

Which version of these programs are you using?

Are you using the export module from FS8 and the makemdl.exe for FS9 or the other way around?

What is the format of your bmp.... DTX3 as is required for reflective textures?

Woody,

Make a black 16X16 8-bit bmp.

Name it levasseurpl8_L.bmp and put it in your texture folder.

See what happens.
