In FS2K the parking brakes won't hold completly after I run up the engine(s). The aircraft starts rolling at a slow speed. normally I wouldn't worry about this except that this rolling now causes a problem when I'm waiting for the jet to come up to speed for a cat' launch off a carrier.

Has anyone else had this problem or know how to correct it?

Steve

I am not really a fighter jet jocky but i have read that some aircraft has spoilers to aid in carrier take off by deploying the spoilers or drive brakes.so thats some thing you might want to look into.

Thanks for the respones, however spoilers are for braking the air flow over the wings. Some have modified them so that they can land and stop on the deck as if being trapped. Don't think this will work for launching. Thanks all the same.

Thats what i am talking about one of those that been modifide.you deploy what ever thats been given to aid in stoping you on landing.then rev it up release what ever it given to stop the plane on landing and away you will go.thats the only way it can be done from what i have read.unless you have a cable and i think thats an addon you have to pay for.

Try looking in the cfg file for "Toe brakes scale" and bump it up a little.

If you are reffering to the F-14, a value of 5 works well.
