Hi guys. Sorry for the fake desperate topic title, I'm a desperate guy.  Grin Grin Grin Grin

Anyhoo, my question for both of ya's. Well, you both have good systems. I just wanted to ask, if it's not too much, how many fps do you get in the most densest and detailed airport with full 100% traffic in FS9?

Thanx,
Asda

What is more shocking is the fact that a mod has not moved it yet.

My system is in my sig which you must have noticed.

I run my sim 100% with every setting on full with most of the PAI packages. 6x AA and 16x AF which is the maximum for the card. Plus all the extra gizmos such as 'wait for vertical sinc' and 'TRUFORM(tm)' on full (not entirely sure what they mean!). The only thing I cut back on is the resolution, which I keep at 1152x864.

I shall do some experimenting at Heathrow but I don't think any computer could get a good frame with those settings. A normal flight average is about 30fps going up to 45 (locked) (Flying in spot view), since I locked it at 27 I get 27! When approaching airports the FPS drop to around 17 (at my Bristol airport scenery) for a few seconds but after it has loaded all the textures it goes back up to around 24fps. I think that’s pretty good - If I was bothered about the fps I would turn the settings down as I don't believe a low frame rate is good for the
eyes.

What is the system you are planning?

It's a Dell. Go to their website and try to find Details on the hardware.... LOL. Or Simply try and ask their support team a question. See how you go.

The Muscle is certainly there in the specs.

Helloo again - I decided to go one better! I set up my video camcorder to record the screen while flying over Heathrow. I have just transfered the video to my PC (worked great!). I shall try to cut the file down to a zipped megabyte so I can put it on my webspace. (704mb's at the mo! Shocked)

I'll let you know when I'm done!

PS. I was quite impressed! I never really fly over the busy airports. The lowest I got was 15fps but mostly about 20 - Over heathrow, full traffic, full everything!

Hey! That's great, man! You've got a lovely system too, mate! 10-20 fps for me is very impressive!

Thanx,
Asda Grin

PS: Thanks for doing that little movie!

Im afraid I can't do the video Sad With a 1 minute file I can only get it down to 19mb's with good enough quality. Sorry about that!

Ill try uploading a file to my webspace with some screenshots which will give an indication of what FPS I get. In the mean time here are three to prove what settings I fly with!
