Well this morning I took a walk down to the Airpark to get a shot of this nice little 1940 Taylorcraft which I saw arrive yesterday on its approach to the field.......
.....as I was ckecking out this bird, a good friend of mine was doing some circuits with his son to get some time for him (solo coming soon for the son) before work....it was about 8:30 a.m. and I was after the morning light.
As I was just about finished with my shooting, the little Volmer-Jensen Sportsman had landed and was taxiing past my position so we waved as is customary, and trundled by to do another round. After this second landing, on his way past on the taxiway, Dave had his son stop beside me. Canopy opened and Dave says to me " Malcolm has to go to work.....did you wanna do a circuit before I tie down.....? "........What would any of you say in answer ?......so before you could say a word, I was in there like a gunshot..........
Seat adjusted, Belt on, pre-start check, rolling checks, turn left onto the active and away we go......
Here's some of what we saw on the way south around Denman Island,.......most of the trip was under 100'
This was the end of my picture taking until we arrived close to the area of the Airpark as I was busy flying us back.......sorry, but not really !
