To all the sailplane pilots out there, does anyone have suggestions on the best technique to apply when flying a sim. thermal.  I have a standard system for the real thing which works well for me but which is not so good in the sim.

Regards,

Pilot

Not very well reproduced IMO. On 98' you had to set the winds aloft to a high number and fly into the wind to climb. Otherwise, maybe try and download realtime Wx.

.....so I loaded up the plane and moved to Middle-EEEE..........OIL..that is......

Find thermals in good places that are known around the world... Then what you want to do... Is do a counter or clockwise turn at about 1,000 FPM making large circles in the air... Like a screw.
