hey guys, with the V-22 now becoming an everyday news item among military news readiers wouldnt it be great to see a model of this great aircraft. I no theres a current model out there but it lacks all the V-22 pernash and surely sum1 can make a new model for 02/04 FS versions.
With bell and boeing feeding the US with models almost monthly now it wont be long b4 we all see a V-22 overhead.
SO HOWS ABOUT IT?? ANY1 UP 4 IT
steve.

a little slow, but i think the osprey from there was uploaded here too...
As the author seems to be in the process of updating his FDE's and models to FS2004 it won't surprise me if it gets a re-release

an interesting reply Ivan ye thats the only current version of the V-22 ive found online, its a good overal concept model lacks some shape and the flight controls are lets say interesting, nothing against the maker im sure he wont take those comments the wrong way!!
Its a problem ive found with almost all vertical takeoff aicraft in the FS world, ie the harrier, the change between normal flight a verticial flight always seems to be a problem, jumping around 500ft in the change over. The track of vertical takeoff - normal flight seems to be cracked with this V-22 it works very well if only it was the same for the reverse.
Im guessing thats the main reason so many people are staying away from this but hope someday someone will crack both the flight controls and create a great V-22 model.

there's a model avialable here, but i don't know if it's the same one Ivan came up with. one thing i do know: the one you can find here has a bad aircraft.cfg file with bad flying characteristics!

ye its the same model though some credit to the cfg its good but as i said the transfer from normal flight - hover is very very hard to control but every other element has pritty much worked out. just an updated version for 02/04 would be great plus some good cfg'ers to see if we cant solve this control problem.

I have been working on a good V-22 model for awhile now, but haven't done much with it recently, as my system is not allowing me to convert anything from Gmax to FS. Still, I have completed the major parts of the aircraft, including gear, and am ready to start the VC. The only problem is, I can't get any decent views of the cockpit or cargo areas. As soon as I do, I will continue work on it.
As for a good airfile, I think the issue lays with MS. They are still incredibly stingy with the application of new modes of transport, as far as FS is concerened. There are, at the moment, at least two aircraft in the world that utilize VTOL capabilities (V-22 and Harrier). Many FS folks have emphasized their want for this type of aircraft, but even ACOF did not include a way to make these aircraft work correctly. Perhaps if we bitch enough, MS will get the idea and include that as a design feature . . .
And pigs might fly out of my butt . . .
