Hey guys,
to let yall know, i am new to this forum and i just registered to the forums to the simviation. And also, those that know me and have met me, its obvious, i love nice props and jets. And now to buisness, i am a total freak over Cirrus aircraft of all kinds. And well here it is.

The Challenge.

The challenge is for a A/C Designer that is awsome with GMAX  and able to make GPS or find someone that is able to make GPS, and to make a replica of the Cirrus SR20 produced for the 100th aniversary. Im not talkin about makin the flight model and throwing in default panel and sounds, for some 1 that is capable of doin it, to go and record all the needed sounds, to make a 2D panel and a EXACT VC PANEL , and to record the flight dynamics, the whole thing.  Effects, sounds, panels, Textures, GPS, Auto Pilot, Flight Dynamics, the whole smash.  I know it is a big task, but for the Designers out there that love the challenge and are able to make a QUALITY FREEWARE ADDON of this aircraft for FS2004, there would be many many ppl happy. Ill take the Diamond DA-20, look at the panel, the VC, everything, it is a quality free addon. I have tryied that aircraft but it is a little complicated for me to fly. The one thing that i like about it is the GPS. I love it.

For the designers willing for the challenge, The aircraft I am asking for is to be made with real sounds, Realistic 2D and Exact VC, sounds, panel, flight dynamics, effects, the whole deal. For those also that are up to a bigger challenge, Cirrus has started using the New Garmin PFD 14'' and G1000. I know this is alot, but its time to get some new planes out there.  And if you ask me, the Cirrus is the best one i can think of.

Here are some links to info on the SR20 and the G1000 PFD's.

For the Garmin,

G1000

Other Avionics by Garmin that are listed by Cirrus that are used in the SR20,

I know this is a large challenge, but to the Wonderfull Designers of GMAX Aircraft, this in a way, may not be so hard.

My thought is that this will be a possible 30MB+ aircraft. But i think it is well worth it.

Thanks for you time and concerne

To add to your problem, a payware company is already creating one, mostly that tends to steer the others away. (dunno why) A freeware Cirrus is already available (mike stone), and even an unfinished panel project for it. Panel project at avsim, filename cirrus_pdf.zip
I still think the panel needs a vector gauge, and these are much more difficult to create then XML bitmap ones.
The flightmax integra LCD's are in the same league complication wise as the Garmin 400 and 500 series, and those are only available as payware and 'payware turned freeware due to commercial reasons' versions.

BTW: if a Diamond is to complicated for you to fly, then dont try your hands on a Cirrus, since a Cirrus, any flavor, is a way more complicated plane to fly as a diamond, although I only have four hours (real live) flying a SR20 myself, I'm pretty sure there is a lot to learn on these marvelous machines.

I even started on one a while back, but it's unfinished.
Just to wet your appetite, a screenshot of the version I was working on...other projects (and the time factor to make it really good) have pushed it to the shelf though. It might end up in an Ai product...

Pilots are the best computers we can put aboard aircraft, and the only ones that can be massproduced with unskilled labor..
