Gentlemen:
I have four screenshots which I want to share with you. These shots I believe are rare (at least I think so). It showed GIs unearthing Mig Foxbats buried in the deserts of Iraq. However everytime I do upload, it said that there is not enough allotted memory. I maybe doing something wrong. Any ideas?

Yeah, just open the image in an image editor (like MS paint) and 'save as' a .jpg file.

First resize them 800 pixs wide, then save as .jpg. Click "Save as...", check the line where it says "Save as .bmp", change that to .jpg. Will work. Also make sure you don't save the file with a size higher that 100k. Adjust using the sliders for .jpg quality.
JF
PS I use IrfanView. Easy to work with.

when it comes to the screen where it says:
Upload successful!
Use this as your link
http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/yourpic.jpg
(replace 'yourpic' with the name of your image) & don't forget to use the 'Insert Image' button in the forum.
copy the url that is in glow above and start a thread in a forum.. in the top you will see a set of buttons to use click on the image button second row 4th from left and it will give you this
URL
paste your URL into where it says URL and delete "URL"
now change the ...yourpic.jpg with the filename that you uploaded the pictures ie
http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/
mypicture1
.jpg
repeat above steps as needed for each picture
hope this helps, hard to get to grips with but youl get there

Something does not add up. We hear and read just about everything that's going on in Iraq including something inconsequential such as finding ammo and guns. Does anyone know whether these pictures have ever been out public in July '03? Especially when several were dug out. This disccovery just about beats even the unearthing of the Cinese terra cota soldiers or Egypt's tomb. I wonder why?

Well, how many have you dug up?
I don't think they are rare. But there arn't many pictures of them being dug out of sand pits. Well, before they were sent around the internet that it...

Someone mailed me these photos several months ago. I'm sure I saw them published in the national newspapers at the time. They're not classified or secret & I thought everyone would have seen them by now. The photos are posted on the US Department of Defense website & the report is dated 08/07/2003.
http://www.dod.gov/photos/Operations/OperatiIraqiFreedom/
If you look on the webpage you will see this explanation.
Quote:
A U.S. military search team uncovers a MiG-25R Foxbat-B from beneath the sands in Iraq on July 6, 2003. Several MiG-25s and Su-25 aircraft have been found buried at Al-Taqqadum airfield west of Baghdad. DoD photo Master Sgt. T. Collins, U.S. Air Force. (Released)
The aircraft were obviously hidden in underground bunkers to prevent detection. They are modern military aircraft - hardly ancient or historical artefacts. I can't imagine why this has just come to light or why anyone would think they are rare.

I'm no expert on military matters. I assume they were surveying the area around the airfield, found something buried & dug it out to find out exactly what was there. Either that or they were tipped off. The aircraft are apparently in airworthy condition & must have some value. It's quite likely they were fully armed & ready for action. There might have been all sorts of stuff buried along with them which could obviously be dangerous & need clearing before the airfield can be used. This is what these specialised units do.
