first off hello to everyone!
i need some help with my texture applications i just cant seem to get it right.
1. i make a template in fsds 2 say of the top half of the fuselage and save it. i save it as 512x512
2. i open photoshop 7 set the rgb to on and import the template.
3. the template comes in and has a white background.
4. i paint just the area that i want and save it as 512x512 32 bit bmp file.
5. i apply the texture to the top half of the fuselage and all i get is a thin line of color and the rest white.
6. now if i paint the entire template a color and not just the outline of the fuselage it will work but the colors or pattern become stretched.

what am i doing wrong?

thank you

wayne

Wayne,

Just a wild guess, but did you crop the template to the 512 x 512 square first?

Also, while you are in your paint program, determine the dimension of the area of the bitmap that will be applied to your part as that will come in handy for setting the cooridinates when you apply the mapping.
