1. Is it possible to delete an aircraft while in the game? There are a few downloaded aircraft that I don't really like that I want to delete, but the folders they are in don't have the same name as the aircraft.

2. How do I change the name of the company of an airplane? I have like 3 versions of Lockeed-Martin, 4 of McDonnel Douglas, 3 of Boeing, and a few more companies that I'm too lazy to list.

Hi DiveBomber, welcome to SimV.
1) No you can't delete them from the game, you have to go into the FS9\aircraft folder and zap them.
2) Open the aircraft.cfg file in notepad, look for a line ui_manufacturer= and enter the desired manufacturer Wink

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Sounds to me like you don't have a problem on the #2 question. I wish my aircraft were like that. Problem I have is that everyone spells the name of the manufacturer differently so I have a listing in my manufacturer for each spelling (ie. Dehavilland, DeHavilland and De Havilland or Boeing and Boeng). Same fix though as Ozzy mentioned.  Grin

I don't see a problem. Edit the CFG with the correct name if you wish to tidy things up. You can use the names already listed in the MS defaults or choose your own :

ui_manufacturer=Boeing

ui_manufacturer=de Havilland

ui_manufacturer=Lockheed

ui_manufacturer=McDonnell-Douglas/Boeing

I just discovered that there were only 6 aircraft that were in the same company but had different spellings. All my other aircraft were just from differnt manufacturers. So many.... Sad
