I had a similar, if not the same problem.
Turns out I didn't have the effect textures in the texture sub folder located in the effects folder.

Well that sounds confusing.

Well if that is the DSB Typhoon, they should be in the effects folder that comes with the a/c.

I just added those effects to the effects folder itself, I'm really confused ??? ??? was I meant to keep that in a special subfolder?

Move the the file "fx_efa"
(typhoon_11 \ typhoon_11 \ effects \ texture)

to the texture folder in the FS main effects folder.
(C:\ Program Files \ Microsoft Games \ Flight Simulator \ Effects)

Now if that doesn't help, I'm just as confused as you.

I knew I should have used the JPG instead of the BMP.

Hey Steevo, I was halfway through re-downloading the typhoon and felt a bit bored so started looking at the other items on the page. I then realised that under the typhoon was a new AB effect by an unknown author. Looks nice from th pic, going to install it now and take a pic to show you. lol, Sam Grin

The patch can be found at the FS2002 Military page 39, just under the Typhoon itself. Cheers for the help Steevo Wink
