For those of us still trying to convince the wife that Flight Simming is an inexpensive hobby, the Logitech Extreme 3D pro could be just the sales recipt to wave under her nose. At $35.48 tax and all at the local Walmart and half that online at pricewatch, this stick is perfect for Simming on a budget. With 12 programable buttons(expandable to 22 if you use one as a shift button) and handle twist for rudder controll, it has the functions to controll any sim with minimal keyboard use.

Pitch, yaw and rudder controll are smoother than I am used to. I have been using a year old Wingman Extreme Digital 3d. Hopefully the move of the throttle to a mounting on the base, instead of with the central ball and twist component will increase the durability of the unit.

After wearing out 2 Wingman Extreme Digital 3ds in the last 4 years. I have no illusions that this Logitech Extreme 3D pro will be the last stick I ever buy. I do expect to have many hours of fun with it though. If I can remember what all these buttons do!
