Hello, Fud the Noob again with an installation question...

Ok, I just downloaded the F-14 Tomcat from here. Now typically I open 2 Window explorers, transfer the folder "(whatever aircraft)" over to the Aircraft folder that's found under Flight Simulator 9. Easy enough, right?

So, when I unzipped this file, it had seperate folder for gauges and effects. When do I put these files specifically so that'll show up in FS 9? Currently, without moving them, I get no gauges of course, just a blank "dashboard." Do I make any sense and any suggestions would be appreciated...Thanks!  Cheesy

There is a good tutorial about installing aircrafts...

http://www.simviation.com/acinstall.htm

That's how I learned. Wink

Simply move the Gauge and Effects files (within the downloaded folders) to their respectives folders: Flight Simulator 9\Gauges and Flight Simulator 9\Effects.

The more enlightened designers/authors configure their files in subfolders with the same folder names as those used in the sim. To install files like this open the folders & paste the complete contents into the folder with the same name in FS9.

If all downloads were configured in this way it would make things so easy. Roll Eyes
