In my part of the world we rejoice at 2 inches of snow. There's been no sign of snow drifts in cornwall since 1984.

We don't get that much snow in Scotland unless you live on the more mountanous areas. I live about 2 miles from Inverness city centre and so far we have had roughly 2 weeks of snow this winter. It goes and comes. Some years there is less, it varies. It usually does not get much deeper than a 3/4ft though.
However if you go out into the hills that surround Inverness there is a lot more.
