~S~ mates. Been a long time since i last posted here. Problems with my wrist, fractured it to be precise. So that knocked me out for a few weeks. Anyhow. I need some scenery that gives France glorious fields of hay, rivers of blue, woods of birch, you get the point. Airfield scenery would be good too.  Grin

~S~ Goose,

have you tried Steve McClelland's European packs for cfs2?

CFSIIEurope release 1 - Germany-France-Belguim-Netherlands-Austra-Switzerland at http://www.simviation.com/cfs2scenery2.htm

CFSII Europe release 2 - United Kingdom at http://www.simviation.com/cfs2scenery3.htm

CFSIIEurope release 3 - Spain, Portugal & Balearics at
http://www.simviation.com/cfs2scenery4.htm

Not sure about the yellow corn fields but these packs do add rivers, roads, etc to this entire area and of course include many airfields. I like flying over these at night - the roads are lit and have moving vehicles - so much for the blackout, eh? Wink

I've not used it, but there is a replacement scenery texture pack (texsu.zip) by Lennart Arvidsson that is strongly recommended by C. Burgess of the GroundCrew Design team - supposed to suit European scenery better. Check out the extra installation read-me in the ground crew cfs2 hurricane campaign for details (BTW the campaign is also excellent!) - http://www.groundcrewdesign.com/cfs2pack.htm. The link to the textures mentioned in this file is broken, but I've tracked them down to the Norwegian flightsim site:
http://www.flightsim.no/file/FS2000/Scenery/Texturer/Lennart/ - how's your Swedish? Wink

There are also some very good meshes around so that Europe isn't as flat as M$ made it!

FS2002 and FS2004 Mesh will all work just great in CFS2.
Pietro Mauri has recently released a very good series covering most of Europe. All are freeware and can be downloaded from avsim.

Of course this doesn't help with your yellow fields, etc!
Have you tried the Pactex Europe set. Looks good but now fields of corn.
