Personally, I do.  Actually, Mozart's Marriage of Figaro is (IMHO) the most perfect piece of music I have ever heard.  It's the only one after listening to literally dozens of times, I cannot find anything I do not like about it.  Obviously, I am more prone to the Beatles than Beethoven.  But I kind of like to listen to pure music once in a while too and that's about as pure as it gets.  Other favorites are Dvorak's 'Symphony for the New World", Beethoven's 9th and "Creatures of Prometheus", Bach's Brandenburg's etc...  Nothing too unusual, and I am not familiar enough with any rare composers to rattle off any names.  I do wonder what everyone else likes and would like suggestions (besides the well known composers) as to what I might try to listen to.  Smiley

I have very wide tastes & like most types of music. Wish I knew more about Classical. I always enjoyed Mozart in particular. My daughter is a classically trained musician (BA Hon degree) & I obviously got used to her practicing at home on the piano & flute. I enjoyed going to the concerts when she played in the school concert band, the Sussex County Youth Orchestra & later with the university orchestra & choir.

She told me only yesterday that her old school music teacher was recently awarded the MBE for his services to music in a career lasting more than 30 years. This is one occasion when this honour is much-deserved. Besides teaching at the school & taking the band all over Europe during the school holidays he plays the organ in a local church & teaches the church choir. I never figured out how he finds the time to do it all. Well done Mr Kearney. Cheesy

I have an expensive keyboard myself. I haven't played it for at least 7 years. Probably considered antique now. Roll Eyes

Come to that I haven't played any musical instrument for 7 years. Shame really.

I dont listen to classical, but I like a modern panio piece called "Magic Waltz" from Ennio Morricone. It came form the movie Legend of 1900. My dad found the song on my computer, liked it and copied it. I like it because it kind of sooths me for some odd reason.

When I have a chance to listen to classical its good, but most of my music money is spent on something other than music  Cry like....gas, edible food, better flight gear, once a year splurge on clothing, and saving for certain special projects  Roll Eyes Wink

I go to sleep to the classical radio station every night, also I will put on classical when nothing else seems appealing at a given time.
I own many classical CD's I've bought over the years.

I like to listen to classical.  (I listen to a little bit of everything though.   Wink) I don't know anyone's names though.   Embarrassed

Is that a lute on the left side, Fozzer?  It almost looks like a cardboard cutout.   Wink  It must be the angle that the picture was taken.  Nice collection.
