Well, this my last resort after 18 month of trying to fix it. I love flying at night but just can't in FS Sad. My framerates drop to around 1.2FPS (my normal Daylight framerate with the graphics sliders all at maximum is 32FPS) when I fly towards or look at lights (EVEN WITH THE GRAPHICS AT LOW!). This is really annoying since my PC has good specs: P4 2.0GHz, GeForce FX5200 256mb DDR, 512Mb PC2700RAM and a 10,000RPM SCSI HDD. Help!

AMD Athlon 64 3700+&&GeForce FX5200 256Mb&&1GB DDR400 DC&&Seagate 500Gb SATA-300 HDD&&Windows XP Professional X64 Edition
&&&&That's right, I'm now using an AMD! I decided to give them another try and they kicked the pants off of my P4 3.4!

Wow...thats crazy. Turn down the number of lights and back off the ground detail (like the literal number of tiles or whatever that effects how decent the ground looks).

Update:

This only happens in south florida and nowhere else. I've tried backing ALL of the sliders ALL of the way down and it still does it Sad. Even my old 400MHz PC never did this. I hope I don't have to re-install.

Well, there's a ladda land out there besides South Florida. Unless you live in South Florida and just love flying outta there, I would say just avoid the area. (Go to Cozumel, Mexico, instead of Florida lol) So where does it actually start? Orlando? Miami? Do me a favor and get on there, get in a good ole' Cessna, and start flyin' South from Daytona Beach. Keep going, the SECOND it starts doin' this, heave that baby around, and look at the nearest airport, write it down, and post it here so I can just go look if it does anything on mine down there. Hope it helps!

I live in south florida so I llike to fly there. The framerates drop at night after I cross KCOF, its all downhill from there.
