ATI Radeon AGP Settings Correct? (Read 190 times)

Here is link for Radeon users who have tried everything to get better FPS.

Maybe this could be the problem.

It seems as if it's easy to miss the AGP speed setting, and leave AGP  enhancement turned "OFF" completely!

Note that the chap in the post is using 4x AGP, so set your's according to your system capabilities.

Yes - I make that part of any reply I make to anyone with blacked-out Panels etc.

When I was back with my old computer I had an FX5600 put in by the "proffessionals" at my local computer shop, they didn't install it in AGP mode (not even 'hardware acceleration' was on) so I was left for a day or two wondering what to do. I searched the internet for information on what to do and it blabbed on about 4in1 somethings so I took all the disks I had and installed the whole lot. As always I found out what I did afterwards but luckilly it worked without too much damage being done!

The downside was the card was by a make I have never heard of and the screen kept scrambleing every five minutes!
