Hello, I've got a problem with FS2002, when it launches, the splash screen appears, a error about the 3rd party dll appears and no matter if i click yes or no it just crashes back to the desktop with no errors coming up! I've uninstalled the game and tried reinstalling but i'm still getting the same error! I'm running Windows XP Pro SP1, and the game is the standard FS2002 and not Pro!

Also, as the games are similar, i am running Train sim on the same pc no problem!

Is there a patch or any thing to fix this? i really want to play it Sad

Any help that you can give would be much appreciated!  Smiley

Thanks

Glad you got it fixed. Nothing like a program which can't even tell you what's wrong. Roll Eyes Tongue

Funny you say that Saratoga, My FS2002 Standard shutsdown with an error everytime, I can load and play the game no worries, but when it comes to closing the simulator, an error appears about 1 miute later asking me to send the error information to Microsoft.

The option of restarting FS is always checked, anyone else have this problem, I think it might have something to do with a third party .gau file....

Any suggestions??

hehe, Yup Saratoga  Grin I kept wanting a error report at least! lol Still got it working fine now, works better than i even thought.. hehe

And Hey Simviation2003, You've probably already checked this but if you havent try this Here. If you have, well you better stick with Saratoga's answer!  Wink It does sound like the exe file may be crashing or it stops responding or something? i had a similar thing with another app on my pc, where when i closed it, it brought up an error report 10-20 seconds later! It could be an XP error  ??? it seems full of em!  Angry

Yep I get that a lot, entire thing works fine. Then I exit and "Flight Simulator 2002 has encountered an error and needs to close (good I was ready to leave). Please report this information." God I have probably flooded the M$ department with just my things. Shocked
