When we last left off I spent the night La Guardia's terminal:
I woke with a stiff neck and a sore back to the normal hustle-bustle of La Guardia's terminal. Outside the snow had stopped falling but the clouds lingered. Outside the window sat the World Travel 747-400 that would take me to Europe.
The flight wasn't to leave for another hour, I had an hour to kill. I bought the New York Times and read it over breakfast to pass the time.
The time came to board and I took my seat next to an elderly woman. I half listened to the emergancy mumbo-jumbo, (Like I'd really survive a water landing.

My window would probably burst open and I'd get a face full of glass.

) as we taxied to the active. I staired out the window more and daydreamed of the fun I'd have exploring Europe.

Once on the runway, the engines whinned and the 747 started down the runway. I sat back in my chair and watch New York pass by through my window. Thats when the elderly woman started talking...

She had never been on an airplane before, was terrified of flying, but needed to get to England to see her husband, and I swear, I saw ever person in her family through photographs, and knew them all personally by the time we were out over the ocean!

For what seemed like hours, I had the volume on my CD player turned up enough to drown out her talking, she never seemed to stop!!!

I think she even continued to talk after I fell asleep somewhere near Newfoundland...

I slept through the rest of the eight hour flight...
I was awoken by one of the flight attendants when we were decending into London. And that old woman was still taking!!! To anyone that would listen, or quickly glance at her!

I zoned it out and staired out the window. The twlight sky was full of clouds, all different colors. A truely beautiful sight from far above the English countryside...
http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/europe16http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/europe17The pilot put the big bird down for a nice landing, and taxied us to the gate. All the while that old woman was flopping her gums!

I was quite happy to lose her in the crowd.

<-- That happy.
Gathering up my luggage, I was filled with happy thoughts. Tommrow I would see the sights London had to offer, and the next day, rent a plane and fly it to Paris.
I chuckled to myself and wondered what poor miserable Brit that old woman was talking to now.

So next it's on to Paris France! And heres the last leg if you missed it:
Leg I:

P.S. That was the first time I ever flew across an ocean! And the first time I ever landed a 747!

It is kind of like an over sized Cesnna...
