Paul is quite correct. The Sea Fury has a completely different fin & rudder.
...

That's a nice shot Paul. The MK II was always my favourite version of the Tempest. Now maybe you will tell us where to get it. Tongue Wink

Apart from the Bristol Centurus radial engine and a few minor components, the Tempest II and the Sea Fury are totally differet aircraft. It's a common error that people make because most people are used to seeing the Sabre engined versions of the Tempest Wink For the record, my favourite (no surprise) has always been the MkV Grin

Hi chaps

Thanks for the comments   Grin

I haven't been teasing you by not telling where you can get it.  (honestly Hagar.... Wink  )

The fact is we haven't quite finished it yet. With a bit of luck I might be able to upload it  by next weekend.

Cheers Paul

Tempest Mk V is what people usually associate with when they think of the Hawker Tempest. Probably because that big arse radiator slung under the engine there is soo odd Smiley

So when can we expect to see that thing for download, Paul?

Well, we have parked the Sea Fury for the moment and Dave and I have started on a new project. As a 'fill in' alongside the new project, David and I are updating his FSDS V1 CFS2 Tempests.

We have started with the Tempest II and plan to do the others including the Tempest V. Wink

Basically it entails converting from FSDS V1 to FSDS V2 and then 'upgrading' the aircraft model for extra detail, new animations and the correction of any errors. All new textures are then added plus new airfile (from Jerry) revised config, improved cockpit and new effects. All aimed at FS2004, but they should work OK in FS2002. So they really are 'new'  Grin

Davids earlier Tempests are available from flightsim.com. They work in CFS2 and can be made to work in FS2002.

As I said, I hope to upload the Tempest II ( to both flightsim and here) by the weekend.

Cheers Paul

Fantastic news Paul. I think Dave's Tempests are the most accurate I've found and I don't think anyone else ever did a Tempest VI Wink

There are a couple of Tempest V's about and you will find one here at SimV in the CFS2 aircraft section. Dave Hanvey's FSDS Tempest collection includes a II, V (series 1), V (series 2) VI, as well as a couple of Tempest prototypes. These are all at Flightsim and are the most accurate.
