I have downloaded and installed a BF110 from fsfreeware.com and cannot find it in CFS3. It was in an exe file which installed something called 'GC_shared' into the 'Aircraft' folder in CFS3. Can anyone tell me how I might access this aircraft?
Also, I downloaded the Stanford-Tuck Hurricane and accompanying mission from the same site. When trying to use the Mission, a message comes up saying "Unrecognised aircraft type gc_bf110g2. Make sure aircraft type is defined." Any thoughts, please?
Many thanks.
Stanier. ???

Hi Stanier, right the 110 should auto-install. You shouldn't need to tell it where to go. I fluffed up badly the first time I installed it. Just uninstall and re-install it (reading the instructions v.carefully and she'll be fine Wink). You can try doing it from the 110 packs here Wink
With the Hurri package you need to download the correct 110 package (somewhere in the install instructions it'll tell you which one, but I can't remember off the top of my head which one Craig (Whitey) chose!) Wink I don't remember FSFreeware asking permission to distribute our work though Angry If in doubt just use SimV Wink Smiley

Ozzy (the FDs specialist of the Hurri in that package) Smiley

FSfreeware has been ripping off other sites for their freeware without permission. You may not have the latest GC bf-110G2. While they are self installed, they can be misdirected so pay attention before clicking OK each step so you can see where it goes. I have never not had one show up.
Unrecognized aircraft means it is not in your aircraft folder.

Yup, the BF110's at FSfreeware are unauthorized ripoffs of our stuff.
Get the planes here at Simviation or off our own site http://www.groundcrewdesign.com
You'll need at least the shared files and one of the actual aircraft archives.
The installer will read the registry for your CFS3 path, thus it will install correctly or not at all.
If there are other problems like CTD's or so just delete all files with exytension "bdp" off your CFS3 folders and everything should work.

Mathias, My views of CFS3 and problems I've has with the damn thing are well documented, however, I must say a HUGE thank you to GroundCrew for some superb add ons for CFS3, good enough to make me use CFS3 despite its stutter's!

I generally dislike CFS3, your work is I think changing my views totally!!!!

Regards, Respect and again, Sincere thanks.

Paul.
