New PC....will there be any problems? (Read 110 times)

I'm getting a new PC next week(specs in sig). I'm currently on ME and the new system will me XP....I've seen a few posts in the past about people having problems with FS and XP.....anything I should prepare for? ???

Over a period of time this question is regularly asked and I understand what you are getting at...

I am not heavily qualified in the subject, but IMHO go for it.....    I have had virtually no problems over the last couple of years and neither have a huge amount of the computer public out there.    By all accounts ME was "a dog" and you are taking a step in the right direction.

You'll appreciate the improvement in your flight-simming, make sure you get plenty of ram and as good a video card as you can afford.

I run FS2002 with Windows XP and it works like a dream. I try to make a tradeoff between scenery and performance so I dont have all the sliders maxed out. This ensures smooth running, especially if like me, you enjoy watching the clouds go by. You won't regret getting XP, despite some of the rumours that are about.
