Hi there,
Here are some shots of the Maule on skis. Very cool plane. The scenery at the start is by Bill Lyons. I hope you enjoy!
Thanks
Eric

Midday in Swift Creek Alaska. We begin loading the Maule as the weather begins to come in all around us. We start to think we may not get to see the glacier today. We spot a deer near the plane. What an amazing place this is. The pilot shows up in his red matching Willi's Jeep. He notifies us that we are good to go.
...

As the sun begins to dip in the northern sky, we set off. It is now snowing lightly. We taxi down the snowy field as the pilot goes through his pre-flight checks.
...

After a long bumpy climb through the low overcast clouds, the snow begins to ease off and we break through the clouds, getting our first glimpe of the snowy peaks off in the distance. The pilot now turns toward the glacier.
...

The clouds are now lifting and the site is simply breathtaking. Out of the cockpit we begin to see the glacier. What a site!
...

Slowly a panaromic site develops like nothing I have ever seen. The little Maule is humming along amazingly in this thin air and the pilot begins to scout a landing site.
...

After a very scenic descent, we line up for touch down. Full flaps, landing lights, here go. I still can't believe we are going to land on the ice.
...

It was an amazingly smooth landing. We drift to a stop and the pilot shuts everything down. We hop out and begin opening the doors. The air is so clean and crisp, it takes our breath away. What a trip and what a great plane! Time to take some photos.

"We" appreciate your comments! (haha)

Thanks for the replies. Silent Exploder, I don't get it. Why is "we" so bad? I know my grammar is probably crap, but thats just cause I type too fast and don't put much thought into it. Glad you enjoyed the shots anyway!
Thanks
Eric
