As Midway breaks the horizon, the crew prepares for a landing on a runway that looks like it might be too small.....
...

Off to the left of the plane, brush and trees cover up any remnants of what was a popular area of conflict during WW2 that most of the world would rather forget.... the old runways that were used by many fighter pilots are still visible in the background....
...

A would be photographer with his zoom lens captures this shot of the B-29 right before touchdown (just pretend the replay status isn't showing on the bottom left Wink ...)
...

The crew braces for the landing as the wheels begin to find they're place on the runway....
...

This beauty comes to a graceful stop as the pilot taxies to the parking area.... Many base personnel take notice as they remember the stories and the history of the legendary B-29.
...

Hope you guys liked..... Grin

Boy sure looks like you had to use an awful lot of brakes to make her stop in time! I see the nose all pinned to the earth! Smiley great shots of an even better aircraft...Smiley Ah to be in the 40's and hear the roar of a formation of B-29's flying overhead at 2-3,000 feet... Cheesy

You can find this particular version of the B-29 under the FS2002 Vintage section on page 4 or click on this link to download it directly from here at Simviation....

There's also a fix for the GeForce4 video cards that I found here at Simviation that will enable reflections as seen on this B-29 thread.  Before the fix, the plane was grayish in color like a battleship, but after the fix, I can comb my hair in the reflection!! Wink Grin  I likes it.. hehe.
