Getting in close helps.
Short bursts.  Watch tracers.
Lots of lead on the target.  Bottom of sight.
G is critical.  3 - 4 max. Greater than 4 low probability.
Watch for target angular change.
Shoot sheet metal.  The more showing the better.
Best for mid to long shot is when target is in the vertical, slowing and turn rate is modest.
High angle, closing shots are ok short burst.  One hit will slow the target.

The AI ace N's are inept.
Set up neutral.
Turn off target ID, leave cone on.
Offset the target block slightly or the N will shoot you and not be seen.
At the merge pull 4 G in the vertical.  Cockpit view and use the gyro, can't see the N anyway.  51 at 50 pct fuel excellent to learn on.
Coming through the vertical pull to the cone.
The N is always low on the 51.
Through the vertical and just what is wanted.  Height advantage.
The N will usually stay in the weeds pulling flat hard turns into you.
Watch speed, take small angle bites on him, wings level and pull into the vertical.  Keep 51 250 - 300 mph before the pull.  Dont flat turn with him unless clearly at advantage.
Just keep chipping away at the angles.  No hurry. 51 is always in charge.  You are just along for the trigger pull.
Remember A/Burner is available if the N zooms and escape easy by driving reciprical heading.

Probably not. All these N's and 51's. It's like some sort of code. And A/burner's too! I never knew prop planes had them! Shocked Grin
