Well after 4 years and 2 months of storage, we dragged my 68 Mustang out to take it to the Mustang restoration shop to begin redoing it in preparation for giving it to my niece as a graduation gift. You should have seen all the dust on this thing. Surprisingly enough, it rolled right out (after I filled the two flat tires) and started up with no trouble at all. Of course, I looked like a 6 foot dust bunny after we were done... So hopefully by the end of May, we will have the groundwork done and the car will be drivable enough for her to use for college. After college she'll take up the resoration work and hopefully finish it. She has had her eye on the car since she was 8 years old. The only stipulations I have are that she always have insurance and if she ever gets caught drunk driving in it (she doesn't drink anyway) the car comes back to me. Plus we are getting her a AAA card to go in the glove box and if we can swing it, a computer to go in the trunk for her to use in school (the wifey's idea...)

Why are you accosting my niece? You do realize I keep a shotgun behind the front door just for her dates, don't you?
Seriously though, Amie is about as close to me as any daughter for anyone else. Even though we live in different states now (soon to be corrected) we still keep in touch very often. We were actually thinking of adopting Amie and her sister at one time.
BTW, don't think big in the computer department here. We're talking E-machine all the way...

I haven't had the pictures from today developed. Yes, I am in the stone age and do not have a digital camera yet. These are from a few years back, shortly before it went into storage. She was on her way to have her engine rebuilt. Add about 6 inches of dust and you get the picture. It even has the same tires on it.

Hey, as much as i love my new digital camera, i still love using my film camera much more. While digital photos are great and alot cheaper to print off and so on, some things can still go wrong with memory or pictures getting deleted. At least with the old film, it cant be deleted once developed:)

This is a copy of the agreement I drew up for her to sign. Not exactly legalize, but my sister-in-law is a notary so that should add some kind of authority to it.
Agreement for receipt of car:
This is an agreement between Amie Jean McMillan and Kevin Ryan concerning the gifting of a 1968 Ford Mustang, VIN 8T01C-----.
I Kevin Ryan give Amie McMillan my 1968 Mustang completely. Disposition of the Mustang is completely up to Amie. She may sell it, restore it, store it, or whatever meets her requirements concerning this vehicle. This is done with knowledge of the following two conditions:
1. At all times, the car will be registered and covered by a minimum of liability insurance.
2. That at no time will she drink and drive in this vehicle.
Should the vehicle be found to not have insurance, it must be parked immediately and not driven until sufficient insurance has been applied. If Amie finds difficulty obtaining sufficient funds for covering the vehicle, she understands she needs to contact Kevin for assistance in obtaining the above insurance.
Should Amie be found intoxicated while driving the car, and convicted by a court of law of doing so, ownership of the vehicle will revert back to Kevin regardless of any repairs made to the vehicle or costs incurred during ownership. This is the only condition in which ownership will be returned to Kevin obligatorily.

my legal experiance was limited to a years worth of lessons at school 5 years ago, but a few things i have noticed, if it really matters, substitute first names for Mr or Miss surname. Next you forgot to include operating under the influence of drugs(which i think is picked up by the cops these days) Not saying she would ever do that, but would be appropriate to add. Like i said limited legal experiance, and if this isnt meant as much more than a personal agreement it may not matter as much:)
Side note i am willing to take the chance of a shotgun pointed at me for a date
Just kidding
