Flight Plan Closed?

Here are some pics of the USAF Thunderbirds, or I should say bird, in the old T-38 Talon.  This was an aircraft the Thunderbirds used in the 70's replacing the F-4 Phantom.  During the fuel crisis of the 70's the Air Force went to a more economical aircraft.  I believe this is the first time the Thunderbirds flew a trainer instead of a fighter aircraft.  The Talon was soon replaced by the present F-16 Falcon.   The first airshow I ever saw the Thunderbirds perform, was during the last season they used the Talon.  That goes to show my age... Grin

Start up - Hear the Tunder!

...

High performance takeoff

...

Hugging the runway during gear up....

...

I know this isn't number 5 or 6, but hear is a quarter of a 4 point roll, anyway.

...

Oposing Inverted high speed pass. (you have to imagine the oposition Grin)

...

Slow speed pass.... Shocked

...

Show is over, returning to the flight line.  This is where the anouncer (Thunderbird 7) would tell you to go see you local Air Force recruiter to find out more about opportunities for you in the Air Force. http://www.airforce.com/thunderbirds/

...

You can find the FSD T-38 Talon at flightsim.com.  The repaint of the Thunderbird was found at avsim.com.  There are even some repaints here at simviation.com.  More info about the FSD Talon is available at fsd-international.com.

Thank you for showing an interest in the screenshots.  Great aircraft designers and repainters make these screenshots easy to make.  All I have to do is fly them. Grin

I can verify your A/C order, as I have seen them all.....the F-100 shows my age....I also remember seeing the Blue Angels flying the F-11 Tiger.....way back when.....
