Ok,my TU334 project is reaching  aircraft lights adjusting stage and I have a little problem with taxi and landing lights...
I created lights as it described in Chris File's tutorial-triangles,representing light sorce with Z-axis set opposite to light beam direction,but...
It's no matter how I set z-axis of light source-in sim my beam always point vertically down- first problem...
And I dont really see the beam-just light circle on ground...
It seems I miss some little thing as always ??? Cheesy

At least you have the light working Smiley  Now for the easy part.

There are two pivots to be concerned with.

The primitive with the light material assigned sets only the location of the light source.

The pivot of the parent object sets the direction of the beam.  Set this pivot (in local coordinate mode) with Z pointing opposite the beam direction.

This is how it works for me in both Makemdl 1.0 and 1.1.  I assume it is the same in 1.2

There is no visible beam (except in extreme low visibility conditions), just light hitting the tarmac.

I usually set visibility to 1/8 mile so the beams are visible to adjust mine.  Dawn or dusk lighting helps too in that low visibility.

Lightsource objects for taxi lights in my aircraft are not parented to any object-is it important?
And landing lights wich placed on center gear are parented to gear-I dont think that I can change axis orientation of center gear because it can change the gear animation directions...Hmmm...
As I remember Chris File daznt parent his lights to any object and z-axis of lightsource itself defines the beam direction...

Well, then I can see why you are having problems. Smiley  Maybe you should go back and re-read what Chris File's tute really said instead of trying to recall.

Create an object to parent to (maybe a light lens or something hidden), set its pivot as mentioned.
