CheesyHey Everybody

I Have A Fews Jets That I Am Looking For  in CFS2. I Am One Of Those People Who Are Picky About The Kinds Of Planes That I Download. I Will Not Download Modern Jets [  F-14 Tomcat, F16 Falcon, F-22 Raptor etc...] Dont Ask Why cause I Could Talk About It All Day.The Jets That I Will Download Are Vintage [ F-86 Sabre, F-8 Crusader, F-4 Phantom, A-4 Skyhawk etc...]
The Jets That I Am Looking For Must Have Rolling Wheels, Virtual Cockpit, Possible Moving Canopy, And A Good Panel,
I Am Also Looking For Some Modern Weapons That Work With Dped [ I Dont Know Which Version I Have]

Here They Are.

1. F-4 Phantom
2. A-4 Skyhawk
3. F-8 Crusader
4. F-80 Shooting Star
5. F9F Panther

Thats It For Now. I Was Also Looking For The Files To Make The Fox Four's Mig 15 Flyable. Thanks

Hello Brandon,

Have you looked in the FS 2000 section?

Some of the aircraft won't have up to date animations, but they're pretty good. The weapons that I directed you too over at the Outhouse will work with DPED. I've used them before on an F-105 Thunderchief Grin

Someone made a Shooting Star for FS 2000/Fs 2002. It's got rolling wheels and a pretty good VC. It should be listed here in the Military Aircraft section. There's also an F9F Panther over at the Mudpond. It's got a VC and a good panel Wink

This is my MiG 15. It was never intended to be flyable but if If you wish to fly it simply open the AIR file in AirEd & change the Aircraft Type from 2 to 0. The aniimation is very basic & it has no panel. We're working on a brand new flyable MiG 15 for the next Fox Four campaign as I type.

GrinThanks Guys

I Just Downloaded That F9F Panther From The Fox Four Site, The Only Thing I Didnt Like About It Is It Doesnt Have Working Gauges In The Virtual Cockpit. I Had a     F-80 Shooting Star But It Was Low On Animations. What Weapons? Are You Talking About The British Weapons?
I Dont Think Anybody Makes Any Good Quality Modern Planes For CFS2. Sometimes They Make Good Planes But The Textures Look Like My 3 year old Sister Drew it. [At Least She Draws Better Than Me:D.

Hagar.
I Heard On Your Site that You Were Gonna Make The Mig 15 Flyable And Have Its Own Campaign.

I Also Need A Huey [I Used To Have a Good one But I Dont Know Why I Deleted It ???

Also There Is A Mosquito That I Have That I Accidently Deleted The Air, Aircraft.cfg, dp Files From And Dont Want To Download The Entire Thing Again. I Think It Is Called Mosquito Biv Or Somethin.

Thanks                                8)Brandon Buchanan8)

Oops, I think I confused you with somebody else... Sorry  Sad

I only know of two modern weapon packs... Smiley

http://www.btinternet.com/~alphasim1/index.html

I found two Huey's over at Simnetwork Grin

http://www.simnetwork.com/listing.php?cat=70

I think gauges can be added to the Panthers VC by adding a VC entry in the panel.cfg file ???

The Fox Four Panther is basically Jerry Beckwith's CFS2 model posted at his Mudpond site & modified with his permission. Unfortunately it never had a DVC to my knowledge. We have since decided to create all our own aircraft in future.

I think you're being a tad over-critical. I've seen plenty of excellent CFS2 aircraft since it was first released & the quality is improving all the time. FS design is an ongoing process & new things are being discovered every day. The beautiful fully animated aircraft with a fully functional DVC & all the bells & whistles that are common today took many years of frustration & hard work to achieve.

Please remember this is freeware & every file posted on this & other similar sites is the best the designers were capable of at the time they were created. The designers were also restricted by the design applications available at that time.

SadSorry Guys

To Hagar: I Didnt Mean To Come Off Like That. I'm Not Trying To Say That People Make Sh**ty Planes. I Realize That It Does Take Alot Of Time To Make  A/C. And I Appreciate And Respect Peoples Work. I Just Have Certain Ways Of Keeping Stuff On My Computer. Such As, If Its A Fighter The Bare Minimum For Me To Keep It Is It Has To Have Rolling Wheels And Moving Canopy. If Its A Bomber It Has To Have Rolling Wheels And Moving Bomb Bay Etc...

To Stratobat: I Downloaded The "U.S. Army
Cavalry Huey Seconds Before I Read Your Post:D. Do You Know If Those Weapons Work With Dped, Cause One Tome I Downloaded Some Modern Weapons And I Had Know Idea How To Add Them To My Planes They Had [~] In Front Them And Unclear Directions???

I Dont Know What I Would Do Without: Simviation, Netwings, Simnetwork, And You Guys Kiss Undecided

Thanks For All your Help

It's nice to have all the bells & whistles, I like them myself, but if you think about it they're not really necessary. CFS is a combat sim & you spend most of your time in the cockpit. You rarely get close enough to the AI aircraft to worry about rolling wheels & hi-res textures or see if the animations work or not. All you really need for the Player aircraft is a decent 2D panel & possibly a DVC with interior views. Cheesy

Brandon,

I might be wrong, but all weapons designed for CFS 2 should work with DPED. If you're working with an aircraft that was designed in FSDS 2 or Gmax, you won't see a Wireframe.

Just make sure that you install the weapons to the right folders... Dp's to the Objects_DP folder, and the rest into the Scenedb/ Weapons folder.
