It's a matter of personal opinion. I prefer FS2004 over FS2002.

On the other hand, there's people who are still using FS98 by choice Roll Eyes

I am finally getting used to FS 2004 now that my favourite add-ons, (payware and free-bee), are being made compatible with it.
...but I still have a soft spot for FS 2002, (it's still on my hard drive, and ready to be used at a moments notice... Wink...)...!
Fs '98* and FS 2000* are a blast from the past now.. Roll Eyes...!

Cheers all... Grin...!
Paul.

P.S.   *I still have the originals... Grin...!

I've still got 2k2 Pro, though it's not loaded at the moment.  I'm learning the fine intracacies of FS9, and loving it as I go along. Grin

&&&&That's right, I'm now using an AMD! I decided to give them another try and they kicked the pants off of my P4 3.4!

It is also a matter of your system's configuration. If you have a poor graphics card for example then the FS2002 is much better than FS2004 as you will be able to set the graphic details higher and still have an acceptable frame rate.
