I just checked the settings and everything is on its highest settings. I get the effects now by simply switching from cockpit veiw to spot plane veiw!

I beleive when I saved this flight the tomcat wasn't working properly and now that I have fixed the file and installed everything properly. That switching to the cockpit loads the new tomcat and unloads the old one.

So in short I think I need to just create a new saved flight and set it as the default with the afterburners working! heeheehee  Grin

The file is called
"f14bfs9a.zip"

If that doesn't work, here is the description so you can search it:
"FS2004 Grumman F-14B Tomcat. Accurate Gmax model with full moving parts, virtual cockpit and photoreal textures. VF-32 "Swordsmen", VF-102 "Diamondbacks" and VF-103 "Jolly Rogers" versions. Original 3D Gmax model by Jeff Dobbing. Gmax model rework, textures, panel, etc. by Dino Cattaneo."

It's listed under FS2004 modern military.

Hope that helps, I should have said this at the start.....well, I'll know for next time!
