Hi Fellow SimV's,

The new f14 has brought a Giant Smile to my face and I can see there are a lot of alterations that have to made to the aircrafts panel and effects folders.

The panel lacks an autopilot settings control panel.

You have to look down in the virtual cockpit veiw to see a real working fuel guage. The one in the 2D panel is a picture and doesn't work.

How many people are having issues with the afterburners? I think it has to do something with it possibly being a shareware program attached to this plane. It was meant to work for a short period of time. Only problem with if it is shareware, they didn't provide you information on where to go to purchase the full afterburner effects. (IF this is indeed a shareware effect).

Other then that I really don't care, this jet is still off the hook. Just wish they would have giving a heads up on the afterburner effects. Anyone know how to counteract this problem. I tried uninstalling the plane and reinstalling it, It did nothing. I think the afterburner is a shareware program.

...

At this point I don't care about any of the mishaps and short comings of this tomcat! It flies good and has all its visuals intact( except for the afterburners)! I love the airbrakes for landings!

But if you say someoneelse has another cat on the way! This one will definataley hold the tide!

I think pressing L turns the afterburner on doesn't it?

that doesn't work birdman, only the lights turn on! The afterburner on this tomcat activated when you pushed the throttle up to full. Then when you went to normal flight thrust the afterburner turned off and you had the heat shimmer with a black mist trailing behind it.

Now it doesn't work at all and I can't figure it out at all  ??? Undecided

Try hitting SHIFT+F4, which is the default Afterburner key assignment in FS9. If that don't work, check your keyboard key assignments for the Afterburner and see what it is set too. Maybe nothing, in which case you will need to assign a key.

I think this is the acft. that you had to activate it with SHIFt+F4??

will try that out fireman, thanks for the suggesestion!

Andrew_E came up with a solution by adding in a autpoilot panel and a digital fuel guage. this is a pic of his panel in use and it works just great!

...

If your interested in copping this panel holla at Andrew_e or myself.
