Decided to take my Tornado out for a spin. Heres my story.....

After climbing aboard in the hangar, I do some pre-engine start up checks

...

Confident that everything is okay, I start the taxi procedure out of the hangar.

...

After some time in the air, I realise that I am low on fuel. Fortunately there is a tanker nearby to help me out.

...

Just making final adjustements to connect up with the VC10.

...

Almost there!

...

Finally hooked up after the Irish sea.

...

Fuel passing, everything ok, sir.

...

Final bit of fuel being taken onboard, ready to release.

...

Hope you liked this story. For more info about myself and my flight sim antics, visit my recently updated website http://www.smoothone.com

I paused the simulation so that I could get into the best position to take pictures. I find it hard at the best of times to fly looking at the front of the plane, but whilst doing refuelling is impossible. It was just bad timing that I had paused the sim when that was up on the screen.

If so, shouldn't this be in payware? Wink

Very beautiful shots, you have quite the flying skill! 8)

Firstly I must apologise for forgetting about the Payware section. Wasn't really thinking straight. Yes it is Lago's excellent Tornado with In-Flight Refuelling available via VC-10 and KC10 tankers.
The process itself is a very difficult one (unless you are a real pilot used to doing it, then it becomes a little easier), but for an amateur like me, I just used some advice off the Lago website which I cannot find now as they have just launched their new website. Also a good spec computer, as I found with my old one the frame rates put me off a little as it kept jumping around when trying to fly in formation. And finally, yes, a lot of practice.
I don't know if I will be able to perform it again, but will give it a go sometime.

Nice stuff Jonboy, methinks I'll make this my next payware to get me hands on.
So does the re-fuel work with other aircraft as well, I mean as long as the aircraft has a probe?

And thanks for the pics Jonboy, ......... 8)
