Two of the most interesting looking military jets do not seem to be available, at least on the major sites. These are:
North American F-107A Super (Ultra) Sabre, a major update to the F-100. The location and shape of the bifurcated air inlet is certainly, by itself, a reason to want to create a sim model of this aircraft.
Chance Vought F8U3 Super Crusader, a major update of the F8U Crusader in several ways, particularly in being able to double its speed - to mach 2.6, and possible more.
Though neither of these craft reached production status for various reasons, either or both would have been far ahead of the Soviet craft of the time.
Realizing that designers of freeware sim models spend countless hours producing their designs, and that they do this without expectation of reward other than personal satisfaction, I certainly do not expect anyone to jump to their PC now in a rush to model these craft. However, if anyone cares to do some small amount of research and look at these planes and their specs, it will be apparent that both are crying out for "rebirth", in a sense of course.
There is an amazing amount of material available on both of these aircraft, and I certainly would like to see either or both available, either free or pay.
Enough now.
Thermals.
