........" CFS2 uses a scenery engine similar to FS2000/FS2002.This involves mesh and landclasses and all sorts of other things. It also uses LandWaterMasking (LWM) to seperate land and water areas........

There has been discussion for ages on the various aspects of FS2002 terrain and a lot of this is applicable to CFS2.There are programs to modify the landclasses (set the ground type you want), create/modify LWM shorelines (tell it where the Land is), create mesh (make the land go up and down in the right places).It is a much more flexible system but inevitably it is more complicated and often requires the use of several different tools to get what you want.Having said that the Classlist scenery should still work generally in CFS2....."
He went on to say that FSSC is pretty good for scenery building and SDK offers the ability to build and alter terrain mesh although its more complicated.
