Thanks a million Hagard. Didn't take much notice of Microsoft KBA 824427. Took notice of your comment and  did a copy/paste of traffic.dll from the MODULES folder to the FS2002 folder. Now it works just fine. Many, many thanks.

Great news Alan. I knew we could fix this if you trusted me. Thanks for the feedback. Grin

Dear Hagar,
I first tried method 2 of the microsoft support site didn’t solved the problem, then I stepped back to method 1 and the problem was solved.
Every one many thanks for your help

Great news Reisch. Cheesy
Delighted you finally fixed it & hope I was some help. The same solution obviously won't work for everyone as we all have different systems. It's usually a case of trying all the options & finding the one that does the trick for you. Wink

I had the same problem. I'm no expert on this stuff but this problem seems to exist with windows xp and FS 2002, some sort of glitch. This is what I did and it worked for me and I have had no further problems with 2002.
Go into windows explorer and go into microsoft games, and 2002, and then go into the modules. Click on the modules and go down until you get to traffic.dll. Click on edit and rename it to   traffic_old.dll  . I didn't notice any difference as far as traffic moves in the game and everything worked ok for me.
