Yo Swanny,
My highest so far was 2660.  My specs below.

a) How on earth can you score 6050 with those specs?
b) How do you add a JPG as you've done?

Phil

a) lots o tweaking and Overclocking...
b)http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=screen;action=display;num=...

Hi deadnight, can I ask under what conditions you benchmarked with? AA AF etc. And is your system overclocked/tweaked?

Im asking because I think my system should get a higher score going on stats but I can only get 6359. I know there is little difference there but mine should be higher really!

Anyhoo, its way better then the 3000 score I got to begin with! (shocking!) Where can I go to find these 'tweaks'?.......

I shall get Adobe PFD installed so I can read futuremarks official benckmark setup settings for benchmarking!

Sure.

Well, to start I turned the slider in the driver settings all the way down to performance, no aa, no af or anything.

The video card is slightly overclocked to 480/890. I'm not pushing it to the max but it's enough to get imrpoved performance without putting my video card into too much danger.

I also did some tweaks a while back that where posted in the forum at guru3d.com. I don't remember how to find them though. But what they did was make it so my computer uses RAM instead of writing page files to the hard drive. It just involved editing some registry entries.

Other than that I havn't really tweaked anything else. I must have gotten lucky and got everything setup good from the start. I could probably tweak the RAM timing a bit but I'm not going to bother with it. It's just some good hardware.

The ram is running in dual channel which makes a dramatic difference. I don't remember seeing if you posted your system specs or not but dual channel ram is very helpful. Your motherboard needs to support it though. Like I said I don't know what your system is.

Good luck!

My system is in my sig like yours. I think it should have dual channel but how do I find out?

I may have a look at some tweaks. I just wanted to check yours was! But still my system should win!

Oh, I didn't notice it. It's slightly better than mine so you should be getting a better score.

Is your RAM 2 seperate chips? I'm guessing it is.

To run in dual channel the ram has to be in the correct slots. Either put both chips in the blue slots or both chips in the black slots. Not one in blue and one in black.
That should run it in dual channel. It mentions this somewhere in the manual too.

I'm not familiar with ATI cards so I can't comment much on that. That IS one of their most newest ones isn't it? If so then it's definatly better than my Nividia card. The nvidia FX cards choke on the dx9 test. Actually I'm going to end up having to get a new video card once dx9 games become more widly used.  It's not exactly Nvidia's fault though, ATI and Nvidia both made their own gpu structure but ATI finished first.. so Microsoft created dx9 around the newer ATI cards.  Both cards process dx9 information differently but because of this the nvidia fx cards have to do alot of different things to make the code compatible with their cards. That slows the cards down for dx9 stuff. It really sucks.

Well, good luck.  I can't really give much help since I hardly know what I'm doing. hehe. I just went through websites that had system tweaks and used the tweaks that sounded good. Guru3d.com and anandtech.com are good places to look at.

OK, downloaded the program great, without buying it...

After install I viewed the demo...with great results, but when I go to run the tests it will play the wings of fury video with frames between 120-250, but when it goes into the next set of videos/whatever it drops down to 3-10FPS.....

Do I have to purchase this program to get true realistic results? Or am I doing somethign wrong?

Are you sure, because running the demo everything runs great while also playing the audio portion of it...???

It just doesn't make sense that one way would work, and the other wouldn't... Wink
