Hi Lange. A patch is simply an update or fix. They all vary. Which ones are you referring to?

From the file name it would appear to be an update to an F-16C aircraft. I have no knowledge of it or what it's supposed to do. I would have thought there should be some sort of install instructions included. If not, the way it's configured usually helps.

It's quite possible this is simply a new or updated version of the aircraft. If you can't figure it out tell me exactly where I can find the file. I can then download it myself & check it out for you.
