Went into the city today to take my written exam for my PPL, passed at 92% 8)

Anyway, on the way home, we stopped by the Electronics Boutique store to look around. While in the store, I found the Offficial Sybex secrets & Strategies guide for FS2004 and started looking thru it. In it there was a page or so talking about bush flying, It even talked about Bush Flying Unlimited! I was a bit surprised.

As I continued looking thru it, I came to a chapter about Flightsim Communities. It talked about Avsim, flightsim, and even Simviation.com! It contained addresses to home pages & even to the forums.

The bad part is that there was even a page for FSPlanet.com. Needless to say, I was a bit dissapointed with that Undecided

While in EB, I even picked up a used copy of Operation Flashpoint for $13.

That's why I havn't been on all day Wink

Operation Flashpoint is one of the best games out there, just make sure you get all the patches for it.

Oh and congratulations on the 92%, well done!

I found the FS9 book a few months ago, and it is really worth getting!!!
Lots of info from everything to your settings to the info on each plane in the sim. And like Andrew mentioned links to various sites. And hints and tips on flying the aircraft.
Definately a must have for sim fliers!!!

Thanks Doug

I was a bit surprised myself. I've been doing practice tests online all along and was getting average scores between 80 & 85.

Now I just need to continue my flying lessons

ps. Thanks for the links Silent Wink
