Something strange with dimensions in Gmax...
I set units to meters, adjusted grid(line every one meter)
Then imported model from another app as 3ds file...
Model appeard very small,so I scaled it to get it match the dimensions(accordin to grid)...
Now,I know that I have to reset scale before exporting, did so,and for some reason scale comes to 100,100,100,instead of 1,1,1...So aircraft appears huge in sim...
The second issue is that when exporting Gmax's reporting that my units are not meters....?????!!!!
The first thing that I did in Gmax is setting units to meters...
What daz he want,guys?????!!!!

Which units did you set to metric? Customize > Units Setup
or
Customize > Preferences >System Units? Which version of makemdl.exe are you using? Version that ships with FS2002Pro uses 1 modeling unit = 1 inch. SDK version uses 1 modeling unit = 1 meter under Customize > Preferences > System Units.

I have both-and not sure wich one I used for it ,look the same...I'll check it...
But what about that after reset scales jump to 100,and not to 1 as it should be...?
How I fix it?

If you are using the makemdl.exe from the SDK be sure your Customize > Preferences > System Unit Scale is set to 1 modeling units = 1 meter.
When an objects scale is reset, it will be 100, for 100%, not 1 for 1%.
You can view the current objects dimensions in it's propeties box. If it doesn't read what you think it should be, apply a Reset Xform modifier from the Utilities menu then collapse the stack. This sets the object as if it were made originally as it is in its current state and erases all previous history leaving you with an edible mesh base object which is what sent to makemdl anyway thru the export module FSModelExp.dle along with material and rotate and translate axis information for animation. I usually reset all my parts before animating with the parts pivot centered to the object and aligned to the world.
