Hi,

Does anyone of you have the ATP certificate ??? Angry

I tried several times to pass the checkride. Except for the taking off where the examiner gently fail your engine 1, the rest of the exam is quite easy, but I ALWAYS fail during the hold: I follow the instructions and enter the hold radial in the correct way, but after I make the second loop I fail the exam ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

I did the lesson of the VOR hold several times, and every time I get the best from the "instructor".

What the heck the examiner want me to hold ?????????? Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Thanks if anyone knows that,
Ciao !!

The best road to satisfaction, re: the ATP checkride, is to download the B-52 or B-1, file a flight from anywhere to Seattle, fly said flight and bomb the office of the M$ programming team.
Honestly, the program is full of holes and any problem passing, is a matter of PROGRAMMING versus flying technique.
This topic came up a month or so ago. My interest was piqued, so I tried the ATP ride. Keep in mind, that I am a Jet Captain who possesses a real ATP, and who teaches others to fly jets..    First of all, the examiner doesn't talk to you at times for more than five minutes. On a REAL ride, there is non-stop instruction and evaluation. The other big gripe that I had was the fact that I was failed for "improper hold entry".......sound familiar? Are you listening Microsoft? You can't be failed for improper hold ENTRY! !    Holding on the wrong side, in the wrong direction,  off of the wrong radial, on the non-safe side....... YES        ENTRY?.........NO!
Entry procedures are in the AIM, and are RECOMMENDED not mandatory.

.....so I loaded up the plane and moved to Middle-EEEE..........OIL..that is......

Thanks Ottol !! Grin Grin Grin Grin

I feel better now, I really get mad about that hold, and thought that I didn't understand at all what it was a real "hold" ??? Grin

If anybody knows whether there are patches that can create a "real" ATP checkride.... welcome !

Ciao !
