Shocked
Here is the problem. Many times I have noticed at all major airports that some of the AI planes will taxi onto the active runway and then freez for 15-20Min. Then disapear. Shocked  Meanwhile the trafic is backing up behind them on the taxiway (sometimes 10 planes).

The planes are from PAI. I have just downloaded AFCAD for FS2002, and fault finder says there is nothing wrong with the taxi/stop nodes. This problem happens to all major airports.  ???

I know that the AFCAD manual says:
AI get stuck on the runway preparing for takeoff
This can happen if there is no hold short node for the taxiway connection to the runway.

But it does not give a solution. Remember the fault finder says everything is ok. This is for the default scenery and I have NO add-ons. Also remember that not every aircraft does this. It seems to be random.

Is there a solution for this dilema? Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Scott.

Hey F-16, go back a double check your aircraft text documents for the AC# to your Flight plans text documents.I saw at one time AC# had a conflict.Hard to explain this here, but try running compile again. ???

check the flightplan of that AC if you can. You might have to decompile their BGL.

I've had that problem with my Military AI flighplans and it seems to be with the departure time being 00:00:00

Also check the Flight level

So you are saying that it is a problem with the flightplan, and not the scenery itself?

when I either changed my flight departure time so it wasn't all zero's or my FL so it was higher than 050 it fixed the planes from just sitting on hold short node.

Hey F-16, check your FLIGHT PLANS sounds like the ALTITUDE is the problem. I set a couple of flight plans altitude to low and the aircrafts taxi on the runway set there and then disapear Cheesy

OK I have gone through the flight plan file and found over 20 "00:00:00's" in it. Is it possable that these could be the problem with aircraft not taking off?

If so what do I change these numbers to? Any time?

Smiley Wink Cheesy
I found a few aircraft that did not have a 1.000 in the THRUST_SCALAR line in the 757 config file. So I changed it and NOW ALL United 757's do not freez on the runway, but take off..WOOHOO!! Scratch that problem off the list.. Grin

I want to thank everyone who helped me out. Your coments have helped. Now onto the next AI problem on the list... Angry
