You were all extremely clever recognising the shorts 360 in the last (very zoomed in) photo. This picture is alot clearer but Im afraid I still don't recognise them! (don't laugh please
)
I think they are used for fire training at Bristol "International" Airport. I would quite like to include them in my scenery.

Could this be it? The Martin 404.
If so I haven't seen one for many years.
I don't know about the other one. All I can think of is the HS 121 Trident. Jet airliners all look much the same to me.
PS. I originally thought the prop was a Vickers Varsity.
On 2nd thoughts this might have been correct after all.

I think Hagar is correct about the Trident and the white one is a Varsity without a rudder or nose.

Thanks guys, I don't feel too stupid now! I thought it was going to be something like a 727 or something easy

I'm with Hagar. I can recognize a 747, 737 and a 777 (if the gear is down). An Airbus A340 is the only real 4 enjine jet flying that is not a 747, a 767 has the gear backwards when landing (they tilt forward) and any big twin jet with the engines mounted on the fuselage, I call a MD80. Obviously I know a MD-11..
But after that, I'm lost. How these guys can sit there and say "Oh, that's a 757-400 (or whatever)" is beyond me.

Everybody ignored the poor old light aircraft in the right hand side.
Looks like a Rallye to me
Poor thing...

To be honest I missed it. You might be correct but looking at the state it's in it could be almost anything.
I see everyone agreed with me on the other two - makes a nice change.
I used a little Hagar logic in my deductions. As the photo is of Bristol Airport in the UK I assumed that they were more likely to be British types. This reduced the odds considerably.
