Hi,

Once more I went up in the air.

Trip: Kuujjuaq ( Canada) to Ottawa int. airport ( Canada).

I had the choice between a Dash 7 ( done that in Greenland) and a Cessna Citation II. I chose the last, to my regret.

The thing drinks quicker than a Irish bloke, after a 24 hour walk trough the Sahara, on a hot summer day....

Had to make 2 refuelings on the way.

Anyway, we got where i wanted to go.

Here are the screenies:

Climbing away from Kuujjuaq
...

Lots of clouds around
...

Not the prettiest, but will do ...
...

...

...

On final at Ottawa
...

On the runway, reverse thrust and spoilers up.

I
HATE
when they put the gear far out on the wings.  The plane looks like it's sitting on the toilet!  Some russian aircraft look like that as does this one.  However, great shots!!  I like everythinge else!

Maybe it's done for stability on the ground.

I hadn't looked at it that way!  I s'pose not tipping over is a bit more important than the looks!

not all gears constructed that are ugly. i like the gear of the Tu-154,it looks great.

p.s: other ugly gears: the front gear of the 767...

I still don't understand what is ugly about a gear. It's not my favorite part of a plane, but when it makes for a safe landing, i don't complain.  Smiley

Guess it's all about taste.
