Day two in the blimp started early with a packed lunch – this is a non-stopper. I took off in the morning light from Reno, cruised over downtown, and started threading my way through the mountains – near the Defender’s maximum altitude.

Wanting to make it as scenic as possible, I cut east a bit and cruised down Death Valley before turning hard to east and finishing the flight at Las Vegas.

Before landing, I got on the horn with the airport and got special permission for a Strip Buzz, taking the blimp down a bit low for some photo opportunities. Then I landed, took a much-needed stretch, and headed for some hotel for the night. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.

Yes, the lit-up blimp looks good. that's just what the blimp is for- sightseeing over a sight-packed area! I think I may go try it!
