Happy New Year Simmers

Would anybody be able to telll me where the longest concrete runway in  FS2002 can be found.
If you are really clever, how about grass and gravel R/ways.

I want to try engine failure on take off testing.

Actually, does anyone know the shortest concrete, grass, gravel R/W, that could be fun.

Hi
Quickly thinking: Edwards AFB KEDW is 15000 feet but at 2302 feet above sea level. Also shuttle Facility in FLA is 15000 feet long but at sea level. Its ident is x68. Most anything around 10000 feet should be fine for V1 cuts. Have fun! RGDS!

Happy new year to you too.

If you download some Area 51 scenery in Nevada (there's some at Avsim) then the main runway is I think about 23,000 feet...

Thanks for the advice people.

The Shuttle Facility X68 R/W is proving perfect for VR +10kts, +20kts  engine failure testing my jets performance. (Do they practice this in real life?)

I will have to try out Area51 as well- hope it's frame rate friendly Smiley

NASA Space shuttle facility in florida is pretty long. Just type NASA into the search.

ZK111 - V1 and VR cuts are still done in actual flying, but not in great abundance.  ATP and Commercial, most are done in the SIM.  Saves a bunch of ware on the airplane.

Not to mention the pilot.

There I was, running out of ideas, fuel, altitude and airspeed all at the same time.......you might call it a bad day.
