I am a complete newbie at all this so please bear with me
I have FS2004 and I want to adjust the scenery at my local Airport (KZZV). The default scenery has the runway and taxiway layout pretty close to real life but the positioning of the buildings needs some major work. I have used the new version of AFCAD to adjust the parking spots and add the new ILS (very nice program). Now all I need is to move the Fueling point, and adjust the hangars and buildings. How would I go about doing this? I have downloaded Airport for Windows and also Flight Simulator Scenery Creator, but these programs seem to be for FS2002 and earlier. Is there a suitable program for FS2004?
Thanks..

From what I can see I would have to redesign the whole airport from scratch using FSCC. I just want to modify the existing one if possible.

Paul. In FSSC it's possible to exclude whatever scenery objects you like from default airports & overlay the airport adding the necessary new objects. This worked fine in FS2002 anyway. I'm not sure about FS2004.
All this obviously takes practice & experience. It's not a 5 minute job. FSSC Help includes helpful tips & tutes.

What I've done with FSSC is just added new elements to an already existing airport.
First I got the co-ordinates of the location of where I wanted to make the additions. Then I made a quick FSSC file with just a couple of large objects. Then I made a screen shot in the top down view of the area where I could see the new objects. I then pasted this screen shot as a background image back into the FSSC file, scaled it and rotated it to fit. Then I had a guide for placing other objects in the FSSC file. I deleted the original reference objects.
You can place exclusion squares in the FSSC file to block any objects in the default scenery so they don't show up. As for re-locating objects that are already there in the default file, I don't have an answer for that.

You don't need FSSC to create an exclusion or flattening area. Just go to the scenery.cfg file and add in some information. However, this is a bit complicated. Thus, it's better to have FSSC.
But I don't like FSSC as well because it doesn't allow me to modify and existing airport.
AFCAD 2.21 may allow to modify and create, but it doesn't allow you to create an exclusion or flattening area. But at least I heard that it will be included in later versions.
Once that happens, FSSC will have no purpose. However, FSSC does allow you to use a background image as a template, referance, or surface. AFCAD 2.21 doesn't allow that. You have to wait and wait for the new updated versions.
In conclusion, we do need both programs.

Airport 3.0 is for FS2004

, but 2.6 should work fine enough. I've used it for my first FS2004 scenery and it worked quite well alongside Afkad 2. I didn't try the exclude, but the flatten works great.
