How do I use NDB's to land and navigate during flight?

1. fly towards, or away, or in reference to a particlular NDB during a flight as for navigation.

2. fly an arc around the NDB, VOR works for a specific DME arc. usually at an airport

i.e you fly around the beacon at a precise radius, this is done by maintaining your ADF / VOR needle perpendicular on the gauge.
