What actors (film, TV, stage) would you REALLY want to meet and talk to?
I would love to meet Elijah Wood, Viggo Mortensen, Billy Boyd, Ian Holms and Ian McKellen of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Also Ewan McGreggor and Johnny Depp, as I think they are both excellent actors, and seem like they would be fun at a party.

Well, most of these "star" actors seem to have inflated egos (maybe this goes with the job) & from what I see of them on TV interviews I find them most objectionable. Either that or completely inarticulate & boring. On a par with the average rock star. Just because they can act or sing doesn't make them interesting. I wouldn't have minded meeting John Wayne or some of the old Star actors. Nobody could party like the old hell-raisers Lee Marvin, Oliver Reed & company. Being with David Niven & his old cronies must have been a lot of fun.
Of the present lot, John Travolta seems an interesting chap & could teach me a thing or two about flying.

That's why I chose Johnny Depp, as he has been a sort of "black sheep" in the movie industry for a very long time. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is one of my favorite movies, and I think he could tell some great stories.
John Travolta would probably be able to tell some great ones, too, simply because of his enormous amount of experience. I would love to hear about Grease and Pulp Fiction (a couple of my top ten).
Harrison Ford should be added, as he is a magnificent actor (in film). A conversation with him about his roles would be an education in itself . . .

Well, I've already met Clint Eastwood and Kirk Douglas. Eastwood wasn't to bad and Douglas was a class act. I also met Phil Donahue during the Presidential debates at Dartmouth College when I was there in 1984. He was a complete joke and seemed to think everyone was to bow and scrape in his presence. I wasn't impressed with him to say the least. I've met President Ronald Reagan (a very nice fellow) and Ted Kennedy (a real loser in my book and a drunk). As to an actor that I haven't met, I'd like to meet Tom Hanks. By all accounts he is a really nice and humble fellow. He has been said to not have the typical Hollywood arrogance that is associated with 95% of actors and actress's.

Who would I like to meet? Hmm, how about Mel Blanc, Sean Connery, Tim Allen, Tom Hanks, Pierce Brosnan. That's about it, or at least all that I can think of right now.

Yeah, I'm not much for actors, but I want to meet Clint Eastwood.
Dirty Harry is my all time favorate movie!
Just that one line; "You gotta ask yourself...Do you feel lucky? Well, do you, punk?!"
I think he'd be a cool guy...

I also like Clint Eastwood - as an actor. For all I know he might be a very interesting chap but remember - in his films he's playing a role & reading from a script written by someone else. Too many fans seem to expect their favourite actors to behave in real life like they do on the big screen. Many of these people are in fact quite boring when they're playing themselves.

I can think of a few actresses I'd like to "party"
with, like Jennifer Love Hewitt, Tara Reid, Elizabeth Hurley, Rachel weisz, there are just so many it would be impossible to list them all, how about Jenna Jameson, I'll bet she could teach you a few things!
As far as male actors go...hmmm...I'd like to hang out with Ron Jeremy and listen to him tell about some of his experiences.
&&Still no linked images allowed around here Paz! Naughty...&&

What do you think I'm some kind of moron?
I just like they film. He's made some great movies, and it'd probably be interesting to talk to him about them...and stuff. ???

No I don't think you're a moron. Far from it.
I've met a few well-known actors, musicians & other famous celebrities over the years. I bumped into a famous footballer, my hero from the 60s, in the departure lounge at Gatwick Airport recently & we had an interesting chat - but I never mentioned football once. In all cases I found the last thing they want to talk about is their job. Just as I prefer not to discuss my work in my spare time. If you met a famous surgeon at a party I hope you wouldn't start telling him about all your aches & pains. LOL 8)

As far as down to earth "famous people" I have actually met.
I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Tim Conway just last year. I had never laughed so hard to "clean" humor in my life it didn't matter where you were trying to get the conversation going he would find humor in something and just make you bust a gut!!
And Bill Cosby, I met him after a show he did in MI years ago.
He to can make you laugh at just about anything.
And for Sports star Richard Petty, the most down to earth sporting figure ever, I watched him sign autographs for at least 300 people and he talked to every one, and anyone who wanted a autograph got one he wouldn't leave until everyone had the chance to meet him who wanted too.
Anyone name me one "famous person" that will do that!
